We have finally planted the Stipa tenuissima that I got a few weeks ago. I have planted it surrounded by three eryngiums which are supposed to be smoky blue in colour. I hope it will live up to expectation. I was inspired by the poet themed gardens at Hampton Court - the Rudyard Kipling design had eryngiums in amongst a sea of grasses. Laura has done a painting of how it might look.
