Water in the front garden

There has always been a concrete dish of water in the front garden which has until recently had bullrushes in it. The dish developed a leak and over the summer the bullrushes died and the dish became overgrown with grass. We cleared this out, lined it and refilled it with water to encourage wildlife. After a couple of weeks there were frogs in it, although these have since disappeared. The liner looks a little unsightly at the moment, but it will get hidden by plants in time.
