It has been so mild here this winter that it is hard to believe how much snow we had had at this stage last year. It all looks very pretty, but England always seems to grind to a halt under these conditions and most of the local schools and colleges were shut.
We had grit on our driveway for several months and have stocked up again, having had two bad winters. We will have to wait and see what this year brings.
The cat spent a long time peering out in disbelief deciding whether it was worth venturing out or not and then thought better of it...
Currently reading Heartstone by CJ Sansom - a Tudor mystery in the Shardlake series, always very atmospheric and enjoyable.
