Gillenia trifoliata

This is a perennial and because it dies back over winter  I often forget about it and have nearly dug it up on more than one occasion. It has delicate white flowers at this time of year. It grows to about a metre and despite supposedly being suited to a woodland garden it tolerates being in an open bed in our garden in a fairly sunny border.
