Abutilon vitifolium var alba

Several years ago a neighbour of ours gave me some seeds that she had bought on holiday. They were duly planted and the abutilon grew. After some months or maybe even a year or so two surviving plants were planted out in the garden. The shrubs that they became have grown (to about a metre in height)  and this particular one got rather battered in the gales we had this winter. It now leans at about 45 degrees. Anyway, for the first time ever it has flowered and they turn out to have really beautiful large delicate flowers which are pink in bud and become paler as they open out. Needless to say I am delighted.
