Last year we took up a few of the paving slabs outside the back of the house and planted them with lavenders and sage. This one has a knautia as well which has finished flowering and one of the others has a rosemary. The plants are thriving in their poor gravel soil and produce a lavender/sage aroma as you walk past them.
