In May 2013 we took up 3 paving slabs on the patio at the back of the house and put lavender and sage in them all plus in this case Erigeron karvinskianus. The plants have grown well in these dry gravelly conditions and have increased in size considerably. The lavender has been flowering for weeks and has had a large number of bees on it every day.
