The foxes are still in evidence around the garden. Currently there seem to be three cubs and a vixen that come in the garden either in the early morning or later in the evening. Their pathways through the garden are noticeable and the tunnel above in the centre of the picture runs along by our fence and the neighbour's garden. I have thought about taking photographs of them but by the time I get the camera they have always moved or gone. In the evening they come quite close to the house. The cat continues to be a little wary and sniffs the air each time she goes out.

We also saw bats the other evening. They fly so low and swiftly that they have almost gone before you have a chance to see them properly. I am not sure where they are roosting though. When we were staying in France a few years ago the house next door had hundreds of bats in their eaves and they used to pour out every evening at about the same time. It was a beautiful sight and something we looked forward to each day.

The plants seem to be changing all the time at the moment and in the space of a couple of days new flowers have come out and others died. The sunflowers I grew from seed  - sunflower Pacino are beginning to flower. The first photo was taken on the 24th June and the next one four days later on the 28th. They are about 40cm tall and the flower heads are about the size of a small plate. The others should be flowering in the next week or so.
