Lavender plants

The bank at the top of the garden is difficult to cultivate. It is quite steep and the soil is poor. When we first moved here it was covered in brambles and bindweed. There are quite a few hardy geraniums and polyanthus in the spring. Lavender seems to do well in summer.  We have planted some more lavenders to replace the large amount of Hypericum calycinum or Rose of Sharon that has spread all over the bank. The yellow flowers are quite pretty, but it has become rather invasive.
